This morning, we took another step in our journey as we were re-introduced to Spring Arbor friends as missionaries to Burundi. I shared a two minute blurb on the work God has called us to do. We then had the privilege of being surrounded by brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles who prayed for us and for our kids. What a gift! While we have not been hiding the fact that we’d eventually be leaving Spring Arbor, this morning’s announcement made it more concrete.
I find that the process of telling people our story (a part of God’s story) always ends up teaching us more about how God is at work in our own lives. The telling and retelling clarifies and pushes me to refine the story. So, while the story is getting refined and we’re looking forward to sharing it several different churches in the months ahead, today was about soaking in the love and encouragement of our church family.
We also made our new prayer cards available. If you don’t have one yet and would like one, send us an email and we’ll be glad to send one your way.
