One fun change that the children have quickly adjusted to is sleeping under mosquito nets.  The nets are tied up over the bed during the day to allow access to the bed.  At bedtime we pull them down and are careful to tuck them in around the mattress to prevent the pesky little bugs from finding a way in.  It is a wonderful treat to lay down and not be concerned about buzzing in your ears.

Recently I was laying under my net and just felt very secure.  Its presence seemed to be my shield from anything bad.  I was reminded of so many scriptures that teach us that God is our shield.  I particularly like  Genesis 15:1 : After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward. ”

Rejoicing today in my Shield, my very Great Reward!
