About Dick and Sheila Dickinson

I was born in Cuba, New York and raised in Grand Island, New York. I graduated from Greenville College (Illinois) in 1978 and began teaching in Lindsborg, KS where I fell in love with the most wonderful man in the world. We were married in North Tonawanda, N.Y. on August 10, 1979 and I have lived & taught all over the United States. In 1992 I got my Masters from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wa. My passion is seeing children come to know the Lord. I believe if you save an adult, you save half of a life. If you save a child, you save a whole life. We have been blessed with two recently married daughters, Carrie (Dickinson) Reece, married to Russell and living in Washington state; and Katie (Dickinson) Mutton, married to Bradley and living in Maryland.

I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington with 7 other brothers and sisters in a blended family. We were a wild bunch without Jesus until a church planter, Pastor Chris Bullock, introduced us to the Lord. I wasn’t saved until years later while attending camp at Camp Sanders, Idaho. At the same time I was saved I was called into ministry. My pastor promptly put me in charge of the 5th and 6th grade boys Sunday school class… talk about learning on the fly! I received an AA from Central College (Kansas), a BA from Greenville College (Illinois) and an M.Div. from Asbury (KY) We’ve pastored for 27 years all over the country. I’ve been a solo pastor, youth pastor, church planter and a senior pastor. We’ve pastored in rural areas and just recently, in the urban DC area where God opened my heart to the nations! I love playing guitar, kayaking, motorcycle riding and hanging out with family and friends.
